Vermiculite-based paste applied by projection which provides passive fire protection.

ROKISOL is a passive fire protection render coating.
It comes in paste form and is applied by being directly sprayed onto the surface to protect. It has a uniform rustic appearance plus excellent mechanical resistance to knocks.
The coating is applied in one go onto flat or curved surfaces without joins or cracking, without wastage.
Ideal for work on buildings to comply with construction norms or rules requiring structures to be fire resistant.Remarkable laboratory performances for excellent value.

DEFINITION :

ROKISOL is a spray on paste product designed to provide passive fire protection of concrete, metal structures, concrete-topped reinforced concrete floors and wooden floors.
It is a traditional material composed essentially of vermiculite-type expanded mineral charges, mineral binders and organic additives.
ROKISOL does not contain mineral fibres.

PRESENTATION – STORAGE :

ROKISOL bag, a product of passive protection against fire.

After factory manufacture (ISO 9001-certified establishment, 2008 version), ROKISOL comes in the form of a dosed, pre-mixed dry, powdered, ready mix.
ROKISOL - is packaged into 15 kg polythene bags (last for 10 months).
Packed onto film-wrapped wooden pallets,ROKISOL must be stored in a dry place, protected from the weather.

APPLICATION:

Application is performed by approved or qualified companies, in compliance with norm AFNOR P 15-203 (Code of practice 27-2) plus our Schedule of conditions.
Sprayed on in paste form after mixing the product with 50% water, ensuring that it contains no grease, oil or dust.
Ambient and surface temperature must be ≥ + 5°C during spraying and drying (surface hardens 24hrs after product application, then 10 to 12 days in ventilated premises).
Special precautions must be taken if temperature > 35°C.
Application by mechanical projection using a liquid mortar or plaster spraying machine.

CHARACTERISTICS:

- Colour: off-white grey tinge
- Spray on thicknesses from 10 to 75 mm
- Density on work from 350 to 500 kg per m3 depending on spraying, application or finishing mode.
- Does not give off toxic or dangerous gases in the event of fire.
- A1 fire retardancy compliant with norm NF EN 13501-1 (LNE certificate H015984)
- Fireproof, rot-proof, vermin, rodent and acid resistant.
- High mechanical and damp resistance.
- Fire resistance on concrete structures compliant with European norms (EFECTIS certificate n° 10-A-460 of 29 September 2010)

MAIN USES:

ROKISOL can provide, even with minimum thicknesses, passive fire protection from 1/2hr to 4hrs of concrete, metal structures, concrete-topped reinforced concrete floors or wooden floors.
